Lamar and Shirley live in Candler, Florida.
Lamar is a retired US Army Chaplain with thirty years active duty, including combat in Vietnam. His ordaining denominations were first the Assemblies of God and now the United Methodist Church. Both have been major influences in his ministry, and he loves and values both.
This area is home for Shirley, who grew up in Ocala, just 12 miles away. She was singing in the choir as a pre-teen, and on the local radio station soon after. "My wife, Shirley, and I conduct musical programs and an occasional revival meeting." Lamar said.
Lamar was born in Lakeland, Florida. He loves to spend his time writing, singing, and preaching. "Both Lamar and Shirley feel they have been richly blessed with family, friends, and ministry."
